World T20 final: England win toss, field against Australia
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados: England captain Paul Collingwood won the toss and elected to field against Australia in the World Twenty20 final at the Kensington Oval here on Sunday.
Both sides are unchanged from their respective semi-final wins in St Lucia, where England beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets on Thursday and Australia defeated defending champions Pakistan by three wickets, in a thrilling match that went to the penultimate ball, on Friday.
This is a first World Twenty20 final for both Australia, unbeaten at the tournament so far, and England.
But whereas Australia have won four World Cups, the latest on this ground three years ago, and a Champions Trophy, England have never triumphed in the final of a major international one-day tournament.
