    zindagi kis tarha bitao gey,
    Pas jab apne hamain nahin pao gey,
    Din main tanhaiyan satayein gi,
    Rat ko chonk kar uth jao gey,
    Rat bhar nend kiyon nahin aati,
    Tum ye khud bhi samajh na pao gey,
    Log pochen gey is tanhai ka sabab,
    Kiya chupao gey,
    Kiya batao gey,
    Palken har bar bheeg jayen gi,
    Jab kabhi khul k muskurao gey,
    Meri yaaden bohot satayein gi,
    Jab bhi barish main bheeg jao gey,
    Khud ko tanha na pa sako gey kabhi,
    Har jagha mera hi aks pao gey......'
