    Fughan hai dard hai soz-o-firaaq-o-daag-e-alam
    abhi to ghar mein bahut mehrbaan baithe hain


    Ab aur gardish-e-taqadir kya sataayegi
    lutaa ke ishq mein naam-o-nishaan baithe hain


    Wo ek lafz-e-mohabbat hii dil kaa dushman hai
    jise shariat-e-ehasaas maan baiThe hai.n


    Hai maikadon ki bahaaron se dostii 'Sagar'
    baraaye had-e-yaqiin-o-gumaan baithe hain
