    Ye adaa-e khud fariebi tou mizaaj hay humara
    na qareeb tha kinara, na qareeb hay kinara


    Na khata hay dostoon ki na qosoor hay tumhara
    mujhe raah-e mohabbat main meri saadgi ne maara


    Ghum-e zindagi bhi main nay ba.khushi kya gawara
    na kisi sey iltaja ki na kabhi tumhain pukara


    Jo safeena dobta hay tou bala sey doob jaye
    merey na-khuda sey keh do mujhe bakhsh de Khudaara


    Mujhe tum nay yaad rakha ye karam bhi kum nahi hay
    sar-e raah mujh ko pocha ye kholoos hay tumhara


    Na kabhi zubaan khuli hay na kabhi zubaan khuley gi
    jo shikast hay muqadder tu shikast bhi gawara


    Kabhi hum bhi chahtey they k milein kaheen saharey
    magar ab dar rahey hain koi dey na dey sahara
